Editing Songs

 

The EasyWorship Editor allows you to edit songs, miscellaneous text, and song information. You can choose to edit songs in the schedule for changes saved to the song only for that schedule and/or you can edit permanent changes for the song in the song resource area.

 

Edit a song in the schedule:

  1. In the Schedule area, select the song to be edited

  2. Right click on the song.

  1. Click on Edit Song in Schedule.

 

 

  1. The Editor window appears.

  1. Use the text area as a standard text editor to type in text or change text as needed.

  2. Use the toolbar to change the font and size of the text, the style, the color, and the fill effects or background.

  3. Click OK when you are satisfied with the song.
     

Add a new slide:

  1. Press ENTER (Return) in the text where the new slide is to be added, and then type the new slide text.

 

Inserting Song Tags:

  1. Right click in the text box where the new slide will be added.

  2. Click on Insert Song Tag.

  1. Then select one of the tag types.

  2. The tag appears in the text box.

  3. Then press ENTER to type the new song text.

 

To edit copyright information, author information, etc. See: Editing Copyright information under notes.

 

 

To edit a song in the database:

  1. In the Resource area, click on the Songs tab.

  2. Select the song you wish to edit.

  3. Right click on the song.

  4. Click on edit song in the database.
    The Editor dialog box appears.

  1. Use the toolbar to edit the song text. You can change the font and size of the text, the style, the color, and the fill effects or background.

  2. To add a new slide, press ENTER in the text box where you want to add the slide, and then type the new song text.

  1. Right click in the text box where you want to add the slide.

  2. Select Insert Song Tag.

  3. Then click one of the tag types. The tag appears in the text box.

  4. Click in the tag to add additional text to the tag. You can also add parentheses and text. See: Notes_Inside_a_Song

  5. To Adjust text, as you type, the words all fit on the slide and continue to get smaller, unless you break the verse up by pressing Enter (page breaks, or slide breaks). You can also add blank lines which will decrease the size of the text by holding down the Shift and Enter.

  6. To edit copyright information, author information, etc. See: Editing Copyright information under notes.

  7. Click OK when you are satisfied with the song.

Notes

* Click the Information icon to display the Song Information dialog box.

* Edit the desired information.

* Click OK.
